Through exhibitions, displays, a global lending programme, and new learning and communal public spaces, the Fashion Museum will deliver opportunities for audiences to engage with, learn about, be inspired by, and share their experiences of fashion, past, present and future. The new museum will:

Welcome 250,000 visitors per year.
Include flexible exhibition spaces to display more of the collection than ever before.
Showcase a changing programme of exhibitions.
Reveal dedicated and accessible spaces for innovative learning and engagement including lectures, workshops, events, schools and residencies.
Provide shared and welcoming social spaces in the city centre – a ‘Museum on the High Street’ for all to enjoy and without barriers to attendance or participation.
Create a shared public space with café, bar and retail areas.
Offer commercial venue hire opportunities outside of core public hours.
Be an exemplar of sustainable retro-fit.
