Reimagine and bring back into use a Grade II listed building as a dynamic, sustainable and commercial cultural hub.
Deliver significant social, economic and regenerative impact.
Through the Fashion Museum’s Young People’s Collective create significant opportunities and skills development for young people.
Support the creative industries by offering career pathways and talent development pipelines and partnerships.
Be a catalyst for reimagining the Milsom Quarter as a cultural and creative centre.
Launch an exciting and accessible welcoming space for all – the ‘Museum on the High Street’ relevant for all ages and reducing barriers for those who have not engaged with heritage before.
Enhance the appeal of Bath for visitors seeking rich heritage and cultural experiences, strengthening the city’s status as a World Heritage cultural destination for global audiences, encouraging longer stays and contributing to a more sustainable tourism sector.
Establish a landmark cultural asset to unite diverse communities through creative activities linked to fashion, promoting both physical and mental well-being while fostering a collective sense of local pride and ownership.
Deliver opportunities for digital heritage engagement that will provide an international platform for the Collection.

The Fashion Collection Archive

In partnership with Bath Spa University, the Collection will be stored in a purpose-built facility, co-located at the Locksbrook Creative Quarter, 20 minutes’ walk from the City Centre Museum. The Fashion Collection Archive will:

Provide greater access to and encounters with the Collection not on display in the new Museum for the benefit of a wider audience.
Use the Collection for innovative and practical inspiration and offer multi-purpose study skills and engagement spaces for widening its appeal to visitors, researchers, and students.
Elevate Bath as a world centre for fashion and sustainability by creating a welcoming new home for the Collection and using its heritage legacy as a catalyst for the development of The National Centre for Fashion and Sustainability (NCFS).
Drive industry collaboration and partnerships across digital and wider creative industries to develop and support sustainable fashion start-ups and businesses in the city and region.
Underpin the education and training of the Fashion Industry leaders of the future.
